About me

Discover my academic and professional background along with my personal story.

Hello! My name is Alex Lozanov, and I’m a psychologist specializing in health psychology and occupational psychology. I am registered with the Official College of Psychologists of the Valencian Community under No. CV17146.

Before embarking on my professional journey, I always knew I wanted to dedicate myself to something that would make the world a better place by helping others. Those around me recognized my natural ability to support others in difficult times. Through this process, I discovered that psychology is my ikigai—a Japanese concept that represents the intersection of what you are passionate about, what you excel at, and what allows you to live fully.

Ethics is one of the core values that defines both who I am and how I work. I firmly believe in the power of change and deeply value authenticity and honesty in therapeutic relationships. I strive to create a safe and respectful space where each person feels valued, heard, and free of judgment. In addition to our sessions, I dedicate time to study each case and develop a tailored plan to maximize the desired outcomes.

I believe that psychology is one of those professions where staying constantly updated is essential. Therefore, in my free time, I focus on reading and pursuing additional training.

My therapeutic approach is based on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, which has the strongest scientific backing. This approach is founded on the idea that our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are interconnected, and that by changing one of these aspects, we can influence the others. I complement this approach with other evidence-based techniques (such as mindfulness and acceptance and commitment), allowing me to tailor the therapy to the needs and specifics of each case.
